Story for the work (All about the words)
I was given “Seven Days” as inspiration for the creation of an illustrative work that could be derived in any way from the title.
I found a true news story about a boy Yamato in Hokkaido, Japan, who was lost in bear infested woods for 7 days but was found alive and unharmed. This happened in May 2016 and I decided to create sequential art charting the emotional journey of those seven days inspired loosely by the idea of a tapestry – a pictorial record.
